A bicycle needs attention, similar to a car, and like a licensed car mechanic, a certified bicycle mechanic can spot an issue before it becomes a major concern. This can save you time and money, all while making every ride safe and enjoyable.

At Ontario Cycle, our mechanics have participated and graduated from the Winterborne Bicycle Institute. This course is college accredited and issues a certificate with a passing grade of 80% or higher.

To assemble or repair bicycles you also need the right tools. Bicycles require many specialty tools to ensure the manufacturer’s specifications are met or exceeded. We have invested heavily in our tools so your bike will be safe and perform as intended.

Ontario Cycle's knowledge base also extends to manufacturers and suppliers which allows us to get the information to get it right!

Our service staff is professionally trained and certified to work on all bicycle makes and models, not just the ones we sell. And every member of our service team participates in training sessions with factory service techs several times each year. As such we believe we have the best bicycle repair and service facility in Mid Western Ontario.

Walk-ins are always welcome and we will do our besy to fix your problem and get you riding again. Getting ready for a ride and discovered that a tire's gone flat? Did you hit a pot hole and knock your rim out of true? Sometimes you can't plan when your bike needs attention. Why not bring it in? If we can fix it on the spot, we will. The Basic - $40  - Book my bike in

During the basic tune up we will adjust your gears and your brakes. We will lubricate your chain and we will inflate your tires. As well we will provide a thorough safety check of your bike which includes tightening your headset.

This tune up does not include installation of new parts. If you need new parts installed we would suggest the Full tune up which does include the labour cost of installing the new parts.

The Full - $60 - Book my bike in

During the full tune up we will adjust your gears and your brakes. We will tighten your headset and your hub cones. One of the biggest differences is that we will remove the wheels from the bike, true the wheels, lightly clean the drive train and bicycle and thoroughly inspect the frame for wear and tear. This tune-up also includes a thorough safety check of your bike, inflation of the tires and lubrication of the chain.

This tune up includes installation of new parts.

The Works - $160 - Book my bike in

The total overhaul is designed to get your bike back to how it was when you bought it. It involves the removal of the majority of components from your frame and a thorough cleaning of the frame. The drive train will then have a full disassemble and degrease and all accessible bearing systems will be cleaned and repacked. The bike will then be put back together and it will undergo a Full Tune-up.

This tune up includes installation of new parts.

This service package is the perfect off season package to get your bike ready for storage, prepped for trainer season or simply to give it the love it deserves after a long spring and summer.

Warning: You might not recognize your bike it will be so clean and it will run so well.

The Lifetime Service Program is offered at no additional charge to our customers purchasing a new bicycle from Ontario Cycle Bike Shop. The program covers all labour costs of normal gear and brake adjustments to keep the bicycle running for as long as the original owner has the bicycle, it is not transferable.

To keep the program in effect the bicycle must come back to us twice a season for service.

What is covered:

  • Adjustments to brakes and brake levers.
  • Adjustments shift levers and derailleur’s
  • Adjustments to wheel hubs
  • Adjustments to bottom bracket
  • Inspection of wheels and tires
  • Lubrication of drive train
  • Adjustments to fit of bike
  • Minor truing to wheels (onbike)
  • A minimum of 2 services per year.

 
What is not covered:

  • Labour required repair damages to bike, because of an accident, negligence and/or abuse.
  • Major wheel truing and spoke replacement caused by abuse, negligence and/or accidental damage
  • Disc brake overhaul and bleed
  • Fork Rebuilds
